Just checked the profiles again, and saw more names with the **. My heart cries for the loss of these friends, many of whom I've known since I was 5 years old. I know it's not the end, but a new beginning on a new journey, but it still breaks my heart. As young people we always think we're all going to grow very old together. Seeing their faces brought back a flood of wonderful, funny memories.
And for whomever put their pictures there, thank you so very much. I could recall every face before seeing the pics but it's a wonderful memorial to our dear friends. I pray there'll be no more ** added until we're all at least 100.
Seeing these names & pictures brings to mind how wonderful our reunions are. Inspite of the effort, time, traveling expense, etc., it's worth every minute, every dollar spent to re-visit such sweet memories with our "old" friends. It doesn't matter where we meet, could be an open field, I just want to see my dearest friends again, alive & well. I hope everyone attends the 50th reunion & for those who've gone on before us, I know they'll be right there with us, remembering..laughing.
Again, my heartfelt thanks to Viv & Lee for this wonderful website, just for "us old friends". You're the best!
